As you know the lack of a proper pay structure kept good people off the list, pity. But however I hope that selfishness will overcome the fear of loudmouth voters and Council will address this subject sometime in the next four years (probably just after the election when they can hope that the voters' memories are short). A few weeks ago I had a conversation about this with a very senior Cobourg politician. He said, "Who on Council would vote for this? You'd have Ron Kerr all over you!"
