Manfred) didn't get in so once again you whine. <BR/><BR/>Voter turnout was actually higher than in the last election and still wasn't high enough to unseat the sitting councillors. <BR/><BR/>The perspective is indeed simple: Delanty enjoys ~ 54% of the total votes for mayor while none of his competition could scrape together more than 25% a piece. <BR/><BR/>It was the dearth of quality candidates that made the difference for council in this (and in past) elections. <BR/><BR/>As well voters did not always fully complete their ballots. How else do you explain 6995 total ballots votes for mayor and only 5904 for councillor (based on number of total votes / number of candidates in race).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
