Our feisty mayor himself has done his share of dressing down Ms Mutton. It was his penchant for singling her out in the '1st quarter' that prompted me to write a letter to the editor about the absence of respect on councils, including this one, something I had highlighted in my platform as a candidate for deputy mayor in the election that gave us this council. Without his 'leadership', nothing will change in this regard until he is gone too. Our current deputy aspires to follow his mentor's example, as demonstrated by his handling of this most recent episode. What else could we expect?

Council's treatment of Ms. Mutton is deplorable, and this latest bit of buffoonery cries out for some form of public rebuke of their behaviour.

Oh wait - they don't listen to the public do they?

Where is our "gentleman" Mayor? If he had any class at all he would be rapping the knuckles of his team of old boys and telling them to smarten up.

Even upstart women like Ms. Mutton deserve common courtesy and respect.
