Off the top of my head his primary duty would be to implement policies of the elected officials for whom he works for. Additionally, he also reports directly to council and is ultimately responsible for the hiring and firing of all staff below him. He is also responsible for the execution of business plans in conjunction with approved budgets.<BR/><BR/>Questions:<BR/>Has he had a current job evaluation?<BR/><BR/>Would it be available to the public for review?<BR/><BR/>Should/can the warden have more input on decisions made by the CAO considering his inept performance?<BR/><BR/>Ideally, he should be replaced. Realistically he should strengthen his team instead of hiring puppets. A number of examples detailing his incompetence include the Austin affair, the recycling payback, some very questionable subsequent new hires, etc.....<BR/><BR/>He seems to be creating an inept organization that is in dire need of an overhaul - from top to bottom. Perhaps the new recently elected warden is the start to this overhaul. May she remove the deadweight godspeed!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
