Thanks for posting a link to this article about how to effectively rehabilitate people in prison.

It says so much, especially in light of today's call from provincial tory dinosaurs for longer tougher sentences for youth offenders, and Harper's blind march down the road of failed American policies.

We have real problems in the criminal justice system that won't be solved by a lock-em-up mentality that has failed miserably, over and over again, to either keep our communities safe or turn offenders' lives around to the good.

This article should be required reading for everyone who has an opinion on the topic of crime and punishment. It provides plenty to think about.
