God forbid the citizens should get a look at the real thing before the Councillors put their spin on it. <BR/><BR/>After all, they need to decide whether we are going to like it or not and adjust their dialogue accordingly to get the result they want.<BR/><BR/>They may be surprised to discover that for the residents, there is more than just costs to consider in making this decision.<BR/><BR/>As to the skating rink, I think if it could be a simple ice surface just for strolling on blades like at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto or the Rockefeller Centre in New York, it might be kind of cool.<BR/><BR/>My first rule would be NO HOCKEY! Selfish boys playing hockey ruin it for everyone else.<BR/><BR/>In Toronto, as most of us are aware, the ice surface becomes a lovely wading pool with fountains during the summer - it wouldn't have to be a concrete eyesore.<BR/><BR/>Just a thought.
