Anonymous is supid as usual. Visible minorities in Toronto are big on soccer. Even Ben knows that, re "enclaves". I elaborated.

What's so wonderful about a flag-waving rabble, no matter what ethnicity? This is the best of multicuturalism? One would hope eventually humanity might evolve beyond such knee-jerk responses as winning a sports events = flag-waving & violence. Wouldn't be surprised if the World Cup suffers a major riot or mass trampling of spectators at some point this month.

I lived within the security zone the last time the summit was held there. No problem. Of course, it's not a place for wimps. I made a feature article in the Toronto Star about my graffiti during the Summit. hat a fun playground. I will be up to Toronto again this time to enjoy the party er uh parties.

Another dime-a-dozen anonymous referring to things unspecified and wallowing in ambiguity. Clarification would be helpful but anonymous ilk are often not up the task.

Between the World Cup and the G-8 Summit later this month, Toronto is best avoided for the next few weeks. It won't be hard!

That last time the Summit was there, my handsome spouse lived in the area where it was held. He has no fond memories of being told he could not go to his own home because Ronnie Reagan was in the neighbourhood and must be protected. He was very happy when they all went home.

This is the biggest regret of moving to Cobourg.

Living in the centre of the city provided me with access to the best of multiculturalism. The Turks win a Playoff game, and lo and behold, 20,000 Turks flag-waving Turks shout their way past my home.

Turks? Thousands? There are many ethnicities in Toronto that do not have their own enclave (Magyars, Turks, French, etc)but they do come out to do the Dundas Square dance, the Queen West for CITY-TV. Now that CITY has moved to Dundas, that will be the focus of celebrations.

The year the French won, they had no enclave to go to, so up they went to St Clair and a sea of Italian flags. Lotsa teasing and taunts, but the French mixed well with the losers.

I enjoyed being a visible minority in Toronto. Now I'm in Cobourg -- homogeneity.
