Thanks to Ken for his video on the Saturday morning event. Clearly it was very well attended, and I am more than happy to eat my words from the last post.

Tonight Cobourg Council will be on the hot seat, and it's one meeting I will enjoy watching from the comfort of my home on Cable 10.

Big question: will Council stand up for the hospital and its residents, or weasel their way out of this commitment they so clearly have to all of us?

People have better things to do on a Saturday morning, whether it's household chores, shopping, or just sleeping in.

The time of day was wrong for a rally, especially when there was no triggering negative announcement to mobilise the troops.

Not sure the location was right either. What does downtown Cobourg have to do with the issue? Should have been at the hospital or at Little Loo's office on a Friday when he might actually be there to hide behind his office staff's skirts.

Next time Loo tells us all to go to hell or Biron assures us that "core" services are all that matters, then we'll be up in arms sufficiently to rally for the cause no matter the time of day. But unfortunately, that's what it will take as the story fades from our tiny brains.

Unfortunately, the turn out for this was less than the turnout for the demonstration outside NHH the previous week. What happened?
