I'd like to know what Rick thinks about his Ontario priorities. I wonder if Rick is willing to say what it's like to stand up for poor Ontario in Harper's Tory caucus. A little insight from Rick on this matter might not be in his best interest, re-election wise, that is.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23948057.post-22599380661910896952010-01-08T09:00:33.998-05:002010-01-08T09:00:33.998-05:00Seems the reforrrrrmers have underestimated Canadi...Seems the reforrrrrmers have underestimated Canadians again in suspending Parliament, - not very tactical of our PM. In a letter I received from Marl Elton, dated December 21st 2009, ( in resonse to CIDA withdrawing funding in full to Kairos ), on behalf of Rick Norloch, he assures me that, " Your government is working hard to bring greater focus and accountability to everything we do ". I'm assuming here that " accountability " may have more than one meaning, like " common sense ", perhaps.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23948057.post-88514653358558652822010-01-07T12:34:25.005-05:002010-01-07T12:34:25.005-05:00I second the BR's motion that people should be...I second the BR's motion that people should be attending these town hall meetings and sounding off, if only to stop Norlock from announcing later that everyone supports his parties' policies.

Trouble is, will we get the chance? Reading the limited info provided in the Northumberland News story, it sounds like Norlock has adopted the consultation strategy used by Rinaldi and the liberals on poverty reduction.

That is, to structure the session so that participants can only answer pre-scripted questions, then shut down anyone who goes off their chosen topics. This works well to restrict the discussion and simply shut people up.

By the way, just when and where are these meetings scheduled?

Norlock states there will be not one, but two "series" of meetings in the riding. Better get hoppping, that's a lot of organizing to do in a few short weeks.

Of course another strategy is to fail to publicise the meetings beyond the party faithful, so these meetings ensure the illusion that support for the tories continues.

For now, even the Norlock website is silent on the topic of town hall meetings.

If anyone has info about the dates and locations of these meetings, please let the rest of us know.Deb Onoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23948057.post-80811933325107932632010-01-07T10:53:07.934-05:002010-01-07T10:53:07.934-05:00If Rick Norlock wanted to hear from his constituen...If Rick Norlock wanted to hear from his constituents he would have long-ago restored his Have Your Say section on his website. It's been under temporary reconstruction for as long as anybody can remember.

Rick Norlock wants to hear from his constituents like he wants to hear from his proctologist. That's the whole deal: King Of The Mailouts wants YOU to shut the f--k up and do the listening. He'll do the talking, thanks very much. Well, right up until his boss tells him to shut the f--k up. Then he'll listen -listen like the good little ass kisser he is. Here -go see for youself how much Rick Norlock values your opinion:

http://www.ricknorlock.ca/gbook_temp.htmMerklin Muffleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05850284624604652178noreply@blogger.com
