the more services we demand, the bigger the bill gets. Plain and simple. We can dish it out ourselves or we can put it in the pot and buy it as a group. Either way, it's gonna cost us, for everything, forever. That's just how it will always be. Trouble is, if we are left to our own devices, we'll never have it in our pocket when we need it because we've spent it on the newest phone or TV screen. Then, when the doctor 'comes calling' we can't pay. But that's what some see as freedom! Our society is built on helping each other and that means we pay more for everything to cover those that can't. As usual. the biggest complainers don't get any of that. They just can't see past their own shadow.

Well, the GST and PST have been harmonized in all the provinces east of Ontario for a few years now. So have prices there gone down, jobs galore been created etc as Government propoaganda claims will happen here? Surely some kind of hard data exists on this.
