Manfred, my question is why a fence at all ? This " event " has apparently taken off and one presumes the already long lineups are going to get longer. How you gonna fence em' in then ? Soon we'll be seeing admissions to Cobourg at the 401, free of course. I wonder if the friendly Rotarions have planned for this success.

Driving by the park last night we thought we saw a number of vendor booths just inside the fence south of Queen St. Is Ribfest now more than a big summer picnic?

If these actually are vendor booths, who is collecting the Transient Traders License fees, if indeed they are even being collected? Something to check on at town hall next week.

The park is occupied to a significant extent by what is essentially a publicly attended but privately-operated fund raising project (admission may be free but they still call it admission). I wonder what the town's policy is with respect to private use of public facilities. Another question for town hall next week.

Just as an impartial observation with a bit of a humourous twist, I suspect many a hand 'liberally' swathed in 'pork fat' will be extended by a 'beefed-up crowd' as a courtesy this weekend. Some would likely deem the scenario more than appropriate. In such circumstances, the candidates may well end up with more on their plates than they may be able to chew.
