What`s Irish got to do with anything? Is the suggestion that Irish males are better at the pugnaciousmess than other nationalities or ethnicities? Tough alpha males -- is that what the labour movement needs?

Happy to see this post, I certainly didn't notice a big story in Torstar, although I found an editorial that speculated about labour confrontations in the second sentence.

I know and admire Wayne Samuelson very much, he has worked damn hard for many years, and told me 2 years ago he wanted to see more of his grandkids.

If any one can fill his shoes, Sid Ryan can. A pugnacious, Irish street fighter may be exactly what Labour needs right now.
