The reason the post wasn't up is simple Google doesn't always work as well as you or I. The post didn't come to me by email but was sitting in the "moderated comments approval page" something that I hardly ever check instead relying on Google to be efficient and emailing the comments to me.Ben Burdhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06372169478978720740noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23948057.post-37211771372861041482007-12-06T12:37:00.000-05:002007-12-06T12:37:00.000-05:00Why is a comment I posted yesterday not up yet?<br...Why is a comment I posted yesterday not up yet?

If you chose not to post it, why not?

And why should people bother to write postings if you aren't going to post them?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23948057.post-10556107388997229072007-12-05T09:56:00.000-05:002007-12-05T09:56:00.000-05:00I had also noticed how well lit the new County Pal...I had also noticed how well lit the new County Palace is every night. That's a lesson that the Big Boys have never learned, I remember a big fuss in Vancouver in the late 60's when the BC Hydro building came under fire for doing the same. It's an issue in Toronto too, and has been for years.

To add a point to your note about FARE's John Miller enduring ignorant comments from others, I see the trend is continuing even after his public apology, in letters to the Editor in the Port Hope Guide.

It takes guts to stand up with an unpopular opinion around these parts. It's like you said in your note in the Cobourg Blog, who the hell would dare to not support anything attached to Constable (Saint) Garrett? You'd be pilloried for pointing out he was just doing his job, and that for a police officer, injury and sometimes death can be the sad result.

Not that he doesn't deserve our respect and regret for him and his family, but now the Hospital is naming their main walkway "Const. Garrett Way". It's getting a bit much.

Finally, the charges against Mr. Vanderveur are indeed ridiculous. I saw that minor pushing motion he gave Mr. Lee, and it was no assault by any stretch of the imagination. Is this the Police acting on the wishes of Town Council to always support and coddle any developer, regardless of the dubious business practices of said developer? Looks like it to me. A waste of police and court time if you ask me.

No Name: it's safer that way.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
