Thanks, it's sad to see the end of what was really a nice evening in Cobourg - maybe town should rekindle (or up the rent if there is any anymore) for the Rotary to close off all the harbour area for Canada Day. That week would be worth a fortune and should generate enough in rents to finance all the winter festivals we want.

What a shame. The whole thing sounds blandly wonderful -which may be why it never showed up un may particular radar. No booze, huh? Family fun, eh? Good, clean family fun I imagine? New Years For 9-Year Olds?

I was saddened to hear First Night was being cancelled.

I hope it will be revived and soon.

I am sure some downtown businesses will scramble in the little time between now and then to ensure some replacement activity occurs but clearly it will lack the overall theme and will be smaller in scope.
