B.C. has been making world class weed the past few years. It used to be Acapulco Gold, Panama Red, Lebanese Black or Afghani Blond. $1000 could get me a good kilo or two of BC Bud. Keepin' it in Canada.

A hundred grand apiece sounds great, but 34 billion divided by 34 million is only $1,000 for each Canadian.

Nonetheless, I have little hope for the budget later today. One of the problems with government programs over the last decade, especially at the federal level, is that it's easy for them to promise money but hard for people to actually get it. Between the lengthy application and vetting process, and interference from politicians that want to control the flow of money it can take years to get a proposal off the ground.

$100,000 each. Sure Ben, and good citizens that we are, full of overwhelming community spirit, we'll all individually spend it building bridges, a brand new sewer system, schools, day care, and other wealth generating things.

Of course you'd know how to spend that money -- on yourself, which is what every other individual would do.
