For folks who have to vent...Toronto Garbage Update:<br />For folks who have to venture into Toronto, I was there today, downtown, and didn't see much difference.<br /><br />If anything there seemed to be more cleaners, at least in Dundas Square, which was so noisy because of construction on the new City TV offices that I left quickly, looking for a more quiet spot to sit down. <br /><br />The cabbie told me Chinatown was a horrible smelly mess but they were trying to keep Yonge Street's shopping area clean. Funny but I thought Toronto's Chinatown would be a big time tourist magnet too, you'd think they'd want to keep it clean as well.<br /><br />Why the hell Miller and the City won't settle this strike is beyond me. Maybe they're waiting until they've saved enough money by not paying wages now that they can afford to finance the new contracts. They must have a reason to be so stupid!<br /><br />Penny wise and pound foolish, that's what my sweet Scottish Nana would say.Deb Onoreply@blogger.com
