A couple of days ago we walked to the Walmart/Sam’s Town complex. Firstly because it was a 3,500 step walk one way and secondly we were looking for a dip for the crackers.
Unfortunately we did not realise that there were going to be a couple of cruise ships in the Marina Terminal. One of them was the Norwegian Joy, a monster ship with 3800 passengers and 1800 crew members and it seeed that most of them were in the Walmart store stocking up on whatever they needed for the next couple of days. Consequently all the checkout lines were backed up at least 10 metres long.
We decided discretion being the better part of valour a coffee was in order. In the same plaza there is a Mexican resto called VIPs, Good coffee and not too expensive. Drank a cup, paid for it and then went back to the Wallymart. This time the self-checkout was clear and we made it through in minutes instead of hours.
3,500 steps later we were back at the start line and ready for lunch – another different day today!
