Preday 1

Tuesday 8th 1600hrs On our way – checked in online. New passports in hand the next stop Pearson!

Boarded the plane early and found plenty of empty seats. Good flight but AirTransat is a mixed bag these days. We have flown three times this year and each time the food service is worse than the last time. It is now to the point that we wonder if there will be any food service the next time. We survived! A pic of the breakfast – one cookie and a small tea

Landed

We were met at the airport by Darko, the friendly driver, put in a seven seater van (Mercedes even) and two hours later deposited at the front door of the Best Western. Big place , large rooms, a really good start to the trip.

Off out later – time to eat. The weather was holding up only a bit of drizzle. We walked to the river and found a place Hotel Gostelina we all ate Slovenian food and it was as good as we had been told it would be. Two people, one drink – 38euros – $61. Not bad considering we had been warned that Slovenia would be expensive. We also dodged the the really hard rain as the thunderstorm happened as we ate – scurried off home with a bit of wet.
