Then we will decide if there are going to be travelmates. Once those questions are settled we then get down to the real planning:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Discover what each member\u00a0 of the group wants to do at the travel locations<\/span><\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Make time for each member&#8217;s preferences<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">This makes sense &#8211; no need to ignore or select any individual&#8217;s choices. Makes for a harmonious trip<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">What&#8217;s the weather going to be like where we are going?<\/span><\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">what clothing will we need to pack for the location<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">do we pack for all the days or find a laundry &#8211; cuts down on the clothing needed<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">How are we going to get there?<\/span><\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">will you book on an airline&#8217;s website or will you use a booking service e.g. Expedia, Kayak, Google Flights, Booking.com<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">using a booking service has risks of cancellation refunds or missed flights\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">a long flight might give us a couple of days layover in another location<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">how will we travel once we get there<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">public transportation<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">uber\/taxis<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">is there a &#8220;City Pass&#8217; with transportation included<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Do we need travel documents?<\/span><\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">most Countries are now demanding &#8216;evisas&#8217; or &#8216;entry permits&#8217;<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">are they available on-line or do we need to visit an Embassy<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">What is the native voltage of the electrical systems at the location?<\/span><\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">do we need &#8216;socket adaptors&#8217;<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">compare the merits of a bulky &#8216;travel charger\/convertor to individual plug adaptors<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">do your devices have dual voltage systems built in<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">if they do then that eliminates the need for a &#8216;convertor&#8217;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">do you have the correct cable for each device you are taking<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">can you use the same cable for different devices<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">does your charger charge more than one device at a time<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">if not consider buying a charging device with multi-ports<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">How are you going to handle the money for your travel?<\/span><\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">will you use charge cards if so which ones<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Visa and Mastercards are accepted universally AMEX not so much<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Decide which costs will be charged on the card &#8211; hotels, day trips and then add in an amount of local currency for &#8216;walking around&#8217; money<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">budget for an amount for tips at restaurants and hotels<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">tips for the guides on your trips<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">souvenir shopping at local markets<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">drinks at local bars on the street<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">are you going to take day trips<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">will you book before the trip or will you buy a trip when you get there<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">A look at my efforts to &#8216;downsize&#8217;
