German critics mock wrinkled rockers on tour trail

And it's about time somebody told the truth, just love the last line of the article - Sueddeutsche Zeitung critic Sebastian Gierke said it was "almost tragic" to see Ozzy Osbourne, 58, at a "farcical" concert. "He kept screaming 'I can't f---ing hear you!' over and over again. You felt like shouting back 'buy a goddamn hearing aid and maybe you'll realize you're singing everything off key'." story here

Rock N Roll will never die and as far as I am concerned, these bands of wrinklie rockers can play on and party on as long as people will pay to see them.

For each disappointing event I'm sure there are two others that are outstanding. I've seen both kinds of performances and it's worth it to keep going for the great ones.

Ian Tyson, Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Stompin' Tom - all performers I've seen in recent years and each one utterly magnificent. Sure, they're older, but so are we. Like fine wine, and all that.

C'mon Ben, lighten up! Is it really your own stamina and sterling talents you're fretting about, masquerading as something else? Envy, perhaps?

Sincerely,
You know who...

It has nothing to do with envy, stamina or any thing else, it just seems to me that when grows older you don't forget good taste, manners or decorum. You can't have wrinklies jumping about the stage just because they want to, they are off key, mistepped and just a parody of their former selves and that is the main reason they shouldn't be heard to be singing their earlier hits, none of them can sing like the original and they shouldn't try. For example play the Stones singing "Jumping Jack Flash" the '64 version and then replay it from any one of the final tours that these wrinklies undertake and I'll bet you it is not the same song.
