Working this weekend

Working this weekend certainly makes one's patience with the fellow man'woman driver stretch a bit.

Just got back from towing illegally parked vehicles. What gives some people the arrogance to park wherever they want and then slough off the enforcer. I say if you park under a "No Parking " sign you deserve the tow and the attendant fines. You park where you want to and it will cost you. All the shouting and screaming will not help you - you were stupid! I towed a few stupid people today.

It must be satisfying to tow away stupid people! But I don't really envy you.

"I towed a few stupid people today."

What does that say about someone who tows stupid people on a beautiful summer day? Pina coloda?

Pina Colada today. I'm off.

The really stupid ones ranted and raved about being given a ticket as well as having to pay the tow bill. The one that got to me yesterday was the person with a honking great Dodge Ram 1 ton truck, all shined up and chromed to the hilt, who parked directly beneath a sign that read "No Parking - Fire Route". I work to prepare the truck for towing and after struggling with over a 100 lbs of wheels and bars to put around the rear wheels, he turns up and says, "What's going on?" The renta-cop points out the sign and the offense and he says to me, "You can take those off, I'm going to move it." I say, "Give me $45 and I will." He was saving $95 by not having to pick up the truck at the pound. "$45 what for?" He failed to appreciate the ten minutes of my time involved, which is only paid for by the tow. Stupidity has its drawbacks!

Ben (giving the) Burd says, "Pina Colada today. I'm off."

Now that's smart. Good for your health. Keep it up.

I've been a CCM man all my life -- never needed a tow, never had a parking problem, zero emissions, and peculiar stares when I pedalled into a drive-in movie without being buckled up.

Again, I say: BAN COBOURG - tourists beware! There is not ample parking at thier beach and for their festivals. If your thinking about going....Don't.
The city is hard up for money and hit up the tourists.
