The other shoe has dropped

Bye- Bye:
Now the intentions of metroland are becoming clearer. I cannot say the elimination of a local paper has been completed because I don't have a paper to prove it. But, the online edition of the "Brighton Independent" has been killed and now is part of a new edition of "Northumberland News
". Pity, I enjoyed the quirkiness of the old BI and now it may be gone. Wonder how the traditionalists in Brighton feel about that.

I got a copy of the print edition of the BI this week. Next week? Who knows.

Now that the election is over, can we get back to looking at other, more local stuff again?

I was appalled (and shocked too) to see that Brad Kelnick is planning a massive Crown attack on poor Mr. Vanderveur for allegedly assaulting that ignoranat greedy developer John Lee.

Having seen that incident live on Cable 10 when it happened, I would like to volunteer as a witness for Mr. Vanderveur that no assault occurred in any way. The man is innocent, and the victim of police and Town Council harrassment in my opinion.

Doesn't our Crown Attorney have something better to do? Is it just easier to persecute old men than go after the criminal drug traders and thieves who support them in this town?

Well???????
