Now where does this leave the progressive side of the Libs? Iggy represents the old Libs, no matter what he says. These guys just think that changing the monarchy in the Party will bring everyone back into the fold. Sorry, that's not going to cut it. The new Libs need more than that. Like policies, like a leader that relies on consultation as opposed to Royal edicts. I await to be convinced. But if this guy thinks he can deny Harper a majority, in January, I have some swamp land in Florida for sale!

I am inclined to agree with you on this one. If the best the boys can come up with is this aging wealthy academic who has spent most of his adult life in the USA, then the Libs are in a time warp.
Of course they have been drifting ever since old King Chretien was driven out by that useless Paul Martin, who then ran the good ship Liberal into ground rather quickly.
It looks from here like we'll just have to wait for Justin Trudeau to earn his wings, and hope to hell he has the same potential and talent possessed by his father. I almost feel sorry for him, the weight of the expectations must be daunting. Sort of like if Elvis had a son or something...
