Here is the story of George Galloway from the UK. GG writing in the Guardian says some colourful things about Jason Kenney. He also says that the ban be will challenged in the courts. We will follow this one.
I love the words being used in this dispute firstly Kenney's spokesman Alykhan Velshi (the xenophobes would have a field day with that name) said, 'We're going to uphold the law, not give special treatment to this infandous (*'infandous: too odious to be expressed or mentioned) street-corner Cromwell who actually brags about giving 'financial support' to Hamas, a terrorist organisation banned in Canada. I'm sure Galloway has a large Rolodex of friends in regimes elsewhere in the world willing to roll out the red carpet for him. Canada, however, won't be one of them.'
It should be noted that the financial support given to Hamas was humanitarian aid.
Then the response from Galloway, "Kenney is quite a card. A quick trawl establishes he's a gay-baiter, gung-ho armchair warrior, with an odd habit of exceeding his immigration brief. Three years ago he attacked the pro-western Lebanese prime minister, Fuad Siniora, for being ungrateful to Canada for its support of Israeli bombardment of his country. Most curiously of all, in 2006 he addressed a rally of the so-called People's Mujahideen of Iran, a Waco-style cult, banned in the European Union as a terrorist organisation. On one level being banned by such a man is like being told to sit up straight by the hunchback of Notre Dame or being lectured on due diligence by Conrad Black."

Crank Galloway is so full of Himself. Look how he compares Himself; "More than half a century ago Paul Robeson, one of the greatest men who ever lived, was forbidden to enter Canada"
Good ole Burd and co, waving the prime canard of Jewish control of governments, as asserted in the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion, prostate themselves before "one of the greatest men who ever lived."
No one is stopping Galloway's free speech from entering Canada and being distributed in Canada.
Galloway refers to the Sun story, asserting that it is because of his opinions about Afghanistan. Read the Sun story. That assertion is not made by the feds -- it is made by the hack journalist of the article. No quotation marks to attribute it.
It's simply a matter of prejudice (pre-judge). For example, here is Mr Burd's response, "I don't believe that the operational person who made this decision did so without lots of paperwork stuffed in his file or direction, or perhaps he/she is just bucking for promotion?"
He "don't believe" and then goes on to present a conjecture out of whole air without a single shred of evidence to support the contention. All that Mr Burd is presenting here is pure unadulterated prejudice, nothing more.
I do welcome the legal challenge to the feds' action to bar Galloway's living body from entering the sovereign territory of Canada. I hope the challenge is taken all the way. I want to be absolutely sure that the reason to bar Galloway is not because of his speech, but because of something else.
Everything on this site Wally is opinion mixed with facts, if one has to defend opinions with facts you would never have made it as far as you have as a creative person. It is a confusing position for people to be in when they come across blogs and opinion sites to sort out fact from opinion. Keep trying to do so and it will drive you nuts. Just as the claim you make when your leap of logic from one statement of opinion into the claim that all I am doing is presenting pure unadulterated prejudice. That is just pure unadulterated rubbish and as the Scots say "Shite". Of course Galloway being a Scot would be far more prosaic.
I do not understand how anyone can support right-wing fascists. Last November 19 in Ottawa, Galloway celebrated the 74th anniversay of the Syrian Social-Nationalist Party. This is "social-nationalist" as in the National-Socialist Party aka nazi party.

The organization is modelled directly off Hitler's party; their swastika-logo, and other nazi paraphenalia.

This is what Galloway celebrates -- the expansionist occupation of other nations, far in excess of the alleged occupation of Israel in the West Bank.
That is just one example of the right-wing fascist organization that Galloway aids and abets, provides succor. And the left-wing idiots of Canada suck it all up and proselytize it as humanitarian aid. Stupidity to the core.
