Sure, nice day, nice parade. But what's with all the emergency vehicles, sirens and diesel air horns in a Santa Claus parade? Let's have less noise and more jingle bells and Christmas carols.
Seeing Mayor Delanty at his best walking the parade, handing out lollipops to the kids, smiling at the adults, I would guess he's going to run for re-election in order to see his community centre project through to completion.
What the heck is former and failed liberal mpp Paul Macklin doing there with Delanty and Norlock?
Shouldn't that be Kim Rudd, current flag bearer, in that parade?
Maybe it's the old boys' rule of No Girls Allowed at play again.

Paul (the former MP not MPP) was accompanying his daughter Loren's highland dance school float. Not every appearance by a male is an attempt to suppress women. Sometimes they are being supportive.
