Another one for the "victims" in Port Hope

Here is a story that will inflame Port Hope hating Cobourgers. The courts are now moving to Cobourg. About time. What will the whiners complain about now, our KFC is bigger than theirs we have a WallyMart and they don't? Oh the complaints will pour forth. BTW Cobourg had nothing to do with this, blame the County for renting the court facilities to the Province and blame the province for building such a big courtroom!!

As a Port Hoper I'll never be able to thank Cobourg enough for being the only town in Christendom that ever actually lobbied to GET a Wal-Mart. Cobourg's wonderfully warm welcoming of just about every retail Big Box antichrist to come down the pike is just about the only endearing feature I can think of about that town. And for that, if nothing else, I thank the Flatlanders from the bottom of my nuclear contaminated heart.

But at least people that aren't drowning in money can afford to shop in Cobourg. Not so in Port Hope.

Don't forget Cobourg's fine collection of fast food joints. We have Port Hope beat in the category of greasy almost-meat burgers and fries too.

Good thing we'll be able to work it off in our brand new sports centre with dedicated girl and boy washrooms.

Life is good here, real good.

As soon as there was even a mention in the Police Communications study about some up front capital costs for some minor issues like telephone harmonization, Port Hope couldn't bail fast enough!
They want equal control and to be subsidized also. Who would want them for a partner, cut them adrift!

Don't we just have the best of both worlds in this little smudge on the map. Only dwarfish souls in these two bailiwicks could find reason to gripe.
