Should we really do this?

It may not be polite to point out mistakes in other's work but this one is a complete lack of attention in an organisation that boasts about winning awards.

Oh Ben Ben Ben. It's dada, conceptual art. Note how the image has him leaning on HIS right while projecting himself to everyone else as falling to the left. It's a politician playing both sides of the camp.

Maybe it was technical problem in uploading the picture and was not seen until an eagle eye reader spotted it. Did you let the paper know ?

Pay me to proofread and I'll tell them

I think it's rather funny. It's the little harmless mistakes that keep life fun and me entertained.

Horizontal Herold looks pretty good to me. Matter of fact it has the portent of Honesty In Advertising ie: Don't expect too much. Either I'm napping or I just fell over. Either way -don't expect too much.

Sorry Ben, I was too busy looking at the multitude of crime and court reports that they insist on posting at the top of the website everyday to notice this error.

Once one digs through those and gets to the news one practically has heart palpitations at the level of crime infesting our communities according to our local paper!

Is it really necessary to post every infraction as a separate headline? It is giving a very negative impression about our community, and especially to those interested in visiting or relocating.

Perhaps I am not reflective of the local demographic? Perhaps the real demand is in fact the court report which the paper classifies daily as "Breaking News" to add to the sense of drama.

I have been annoyed recently by two out of town colleagues who have asked me, based on what they read on our local online paper, why our crime is so out of control.

I could be wrong, but I do not think this sort of reporting is reflective of the local reality - am very open to hearing otherwise though.

The reason we see all those crime reports is that they are easy for the paper, since they often repeat word for word what the police press release has told them.

No need for a reporter to go out and find the story, investigate the facts and then write it.

Not only that, but this drivel fills up the paper and makes advertisers happy. That's what really counts.
