Here's an interesting quote from an email, "I just had a letter read to me by the Chair of the Nominating Committee indicating that there will be no election pursuant to the by-laws becuase only those accepted by the Board nominating committee as being qualified are eligible to stand for election and since the nominating committee felt that only their own candidates are eligible then the three of us are not going to be nominated as a member of the slate."
Funny how a hunch just became a fact. Now's the time to stop fooling around get a lawyer and have them get an injunction to delay the meeting until the procedures can be put in place for a 'free election'

hey Merk you shoud know what this is all about it has consumed my brain for the last two weeks - it's the hospital again and how the Board is playing hardball and upsetting normal folks, not me i predicted this move, who believed in the Marquis of Queensbury's rules, unfortunately the Board and CEO have resorted to bare knuckles.

Corruption at its finest. A committee of the board itself gets to decide who is 'qualified' to stand before the members for election. I have known several people who have sat on the NHH board over the years. I'd LOVE to know what their qualifications were...in each case I'm unaware of any.
So, now the wolf has shed his sheep costume and revealed the true nature of his intentions.
Democracy anyone? Not in Northumberland, and not where this hospital board and its CEO are in charge.
No surprise here.
