Oooops
This is an email from a friend in Cobourg North, he asks "Now that I'm living here in the Township of Hamilton I'm on a steep learning curve to familiarize myself with the candidates.Ben, I know you are focused on the nail-biting election in Cobourg, but I need a ruling on Fred's flyer that arrived in my mailbox today. What is the statute of limitations on asking for re-election? Is Mr. Holloway allowed to ask for re-election as Mayor? I would appreciate your insight on this."
It appears that Fred is an advocate of efficient recycling, either that or he had a couple of boxes stored in his basement for the next time.

Hello Ben:
Enjoyed the commentary on Fred Holloway's election recycled signs. Even more remarkable are Bill Finley's recycled signs from Joan Chalovich's mayoralty campaign, and his use of the magic marker to pen his name. At least Deputy Mayor Rosemarie Robins managed to print a few signs, showing that she feels the position of Mayor of Alnwick/Haldimand is worth spending a few dollars. I would be interested to hear your comments on the acclaimed councillor candidates of Alnwick/Haldimand. Incidentally, the electorate of Alnwick/Haldimand does not receive any notification in the mail that they can or cannot vote. Wouldn't a mail-in vote be very sensible in such a large
rural community, or would that increase the voter turnout and spoil the election for the incumbents? Oh, I forgot, there's only one extra councillor candidate in ward 2. Good that the municipality saved money on all that postage for mail-outs, the more left to spend on foolish litigation like gravel pits and long roads to abandoned cemeteries.
