Not to take anything away from the Shelter Valley Folk Festival, but people might also want to check out the Labour Council's first annual Labour Day Picnic on Monday, September 3rd.
It will be held at the Carpenter's Hall, 459 Croft Street, just off Hamilton Road in the east end of town.
It goes from 11 am to 2:30 and will feature lots of food and fun for families.
Come and join in!
