Welcome to the site

Now just who are these people - Smart Systems for Health Agency? They appeared in the tracking stats around the time the BurdReport started to expose the machinations of the Hospital Board. IP lookup tells me they are based in Peterborough, and as of this morning they have hit the site 48 times, five times yesterday alone. But what do they do?

According to their website it is a Provincial Government Agency dedicated to finding IT solutions to Healthcare problems. Another interesting fact is that this Government Non-Profit is part of E-Health - Yikes.

Anyway all speculation aside, a message to the person who is assiduously tracking the site who is either a member of the organisation or is using a computer on the organisation's network - welcome and feel free to report back to your bosses just what the other side is thinking!

BTW don't bother clicking on their website - it doesn't work.

How naive!

"to the person who is assiduously tracking the site who is either a member of the organisation or is using a computer on the organisation's network - welcome and feel free to report back to your bosses just what the other side is thinking!"

It's more likely that the bosses themselves are doing the monitoring. This cyber monitoring is a very common practice by agents of the Canadian Human Rights Commission.

It's something I experienced in the 1970s when state authorities intercepted, read and withheld my mail, wiretapped my phone, and did other dirty tricks.

What do you think? Is it a government UNION worker doing the eavesdropping?

Gee whiz Mr. Keeler you sure are smart. No matter what the topic, you always know everything about it, so much more than anyone else.

And somehow the topic always relates to a personal experience you had some 30 or 40 years ago.

In this case, you even managed to get in references to two of your favourite hobby horses: human rights commissions and unions. How very clever. You must go to bed every night with a big smile on your happy face.

I just wish I was as smart as you!

.. naive .. paranoid .. naive .. paranoid .. naive .. para... which is it, really?

Obviously the commentators have nothing worthwhile to say about the subject that Ben had posted.

As soon as I see the word 'smart' applied to any aspect of modern life I think of comedian Ron James' line "Why do they call it a SmartCar when you look so stupid driving it?"

"Smart" ain't. Smart Meters for example. SmartFood popcorn that you can't get off your fingers for three days. Smart This. Smart That. Smart is for dummies. It's a word that's used to sell something to stupid people who's like to be smart.

Smarten up.

Make a comment and Big Mommy says, "Smarten up."

Reply to Big Momma and she says, "Don't get smart with me."

Yep, Human Rights Commissions are Wally's "hobby horse", just as poverty is someone else's hobby horse, or health care is someone's hobby horse.

And then there are the envious and resentful who have a hobby horse of ad hominem attacks. Yawn!

Welcome aboard, Rick! Far as I know you're the first Member Of Parliament to make it into Ben's blog.

And to leave also.

It makes sense that if you write about an organization that organization might want to read what is being said. I'm sure there's nothing insidious going on.

I have no problem writing about an organisation and then that organisation tracks it, in this case the worst case is that the hospital is paying this company to track what is written - a waste of money!!

Gee whillickers! Look who's running for a position on the hospital board! And well he should since, well, with a Google Profile like this you'd have to be pretty healthy! Matter of fact -you'd have to be about 153 years old to have done ALL THIS!!!

Why won't John Morand just go away? Interesting that he doesn't list Port Hope on his "places he has lived" on his google profile. I suppose we're supposed to be impressed with all that he has done; and he still has time to turn wood!

Likely we'll be forced to listen to his drivel during the election campaign. That's if he didn't get the hint last time.

I read your dreary dismal dull drivel Pragmatist. My Choice. If you don't like Morand's "drivel" then don't be so stupid as to read it in the first place. Take control of yourself.
