If you want to win get serious
As we all know John Floyd will be announcing his candidacy for the position of Mayor of Port Hope on the 25th at a BBQ at his house on Madison St.. This perennial candidate has tried before and lost, this time he feels it will be a better chance. But in order to do better he has to lose his image of gad-about populist angry guy and get serious. This facebook appeal may have been in jest but the last thing a serious candidate needs is a cartoonist. Try a good copywriter instead perhaps even an image-maker too.

Mr. Floyd has to disavow any connection whatsoever with any Conservative party or any conservative anything for that matter.
The entire Ward 1 council, including Linda Thompson, is Big C Conservative. This may account for their lack of intellect, vision or ability to think even the smallest matter through.
Unfortunately, Mr. Floyd represents more of the same -if not worse. Anyone running for municipal office who denies a party affiliation is simply not telling all there is to tell.
That said, John Floyd is a cartoonists dream. He doesn't even need to be seen eating a banana or fumbling a football. His Hummer/Harley/Hair Shirt personna will do quite nicely.
I must say Ben I did not put that there a friend posted that as a bithday joke as yesterday was my birthday .

Ben, do you know John Floyd?
He is an outstanding citizen, currently president of the Lions Club and was awarded this year by the municipality for volunteerism.
Sounds like a mayor I want.
Perhaps, you could apply for a job as his copywriter...
