A piece of whimsy to herald Spring

A guest post!

Born, raised and retired in Ontario’s feel-good community, Cobourg, Wally Keeler, aka Poetician1, recently had his heart repaired in the world’s second-best cardio hospital in the world, according to a Newsweek survey. It forced a lot of housebound time. This provided the natural-born poet the time to develop a bunch of flash fiction stories.

“The outline for these stories began when I was living in Montreal about 15 years ago. I never returned to them until now. Having read Ted Amsden’s Golden Handshake Club, a wit-infested hilarity fest which made me think of the funshine sketches of two towns, Slobourg and Port Promise. (It is more than worthy of the Stephen Leacock Prize for Humour)

In my flash fiction series, tentatively entitled Muse Stories, Muse@11, or All the Muse That’s Fit to Print, there are many communities, all situated in the glorious Imagine Nation of the Peoples Republic of Poetry. Two communities stand out: Our Poem Town and Poet Hope. Attached are a handful of these flash fictions for your entertainment.”
