Surprise, surprise, surprise!

1210hrs This announcement hit my facebook feed a couple of minutes ago, and now we are waiting, with bated breath, for the Special Meeting agenda to hit the website calendar. 

The question we have at the BR is simple, can we take this seriously from a Mayor has a record of pushing for more development or from a Mayoralty candidate who wants to follow and repeat his vocal supporters, most of whom want to slow down development.

1415hrs The agenda is downloaded read it here from the Town’s website. The motion for an Interim Control Bylaw is on it read it here. The motion is a long one and can be split into two parts: the first part argues for an ICB and the second part asks the Staff to tell Council why there should not be an ICB.

All in all I will be studying this motion, watch the August 20th meeting, and will deliver my opinion to the Council as a Delegate at the Summer Council Meeting on the 26th August at 1pm in the Council Chambers.
