Woke up this morning to find the SM feeds full of local content. It appears that Facebook has been discovered by the local candidates. So much so that one page – Politics in Northumberland may be considering the restriction of campaigning by candidates as opposed to just commenting by posters to the page.

So what is out today:

• Maria Papaioannoy-Duic, the person who asked Cobourg Council last week to fund her series of debates has found a venue to hold them. The local Lions Club has offered a discounted rate and she is off the races debates. October 14th and 15th  Details here
• Joel Scott has issued a statement about his position on the social ills of Cobourg and how he will approach the topic if he is elected. His page here
• The big one today – Max LeMarchant has issued another press release and a policy statement about the social ills and how he will deal with them if he is elected Mayor. Press Release here and Full statement here

Election signs are starting to hit the lawns, Joel Scott is quick off the mark, Cleveland signs are sporadic as are Beatty signs, Darling signs, Bemon signs, Burchat signs and Curtis signs. We saw a Coulis sign – pity has hasn’t done much else except file and put a sign up and make a website. One Grimley sign in a very prominent spot in Chipping Park.
